Police Foundations Admission

Many colleges have no screening process for candidates, however because of the Queens College long standing relationship with several of the Toronto GTA Police Forces we have a more serious approach in our screening process, which assures you, that you will only be going to school with the best candidates which in turn will enhance your learning experience, and not waste your time by working with candidates who are either not serious or not able to qualify to work at a Canadian Law Enforcement Job in the first place. So we use the following process.

Police Foundations Program, Web Development Program, Computer Networking & Security Program

Our Financial Aid Advisors will help you determine your eligibility for the various financial aid options available to you such as Awards, Scholarships, Bursaries and Government Programs as well as answer any of your financial questions.

  1. OSAP. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify. For more information visit www.osap.gov.on.ca.

  3. Program Plan
    • Monthly. A monthly payment plan can be arranged to suit your needs. Tuition and material costs are divided into monthly payments throughout your program. The first payment is due on the first day of classes, and the final payment is due approximately one month prior to completion of your studies. Payments are interest-free while you are an active student. All students are automatically eligible for monthly payment plans with no credit check or co-signer required.

    • Extended Monthly. For students who qualify, monthly payment plans may be extended beyond the end of your student period. Newcomers to Canada can be approved with no Canadian credit history. A credit check is required and some conditions apply.

Second Career

The Second Career Program is a government program designed to help laid-off workers get the skills and training they need to find jobs in high-demand occupations in Ontario.

Second Career is a cost-sharing grant provided on the basis of need; therefore, applicants may be required to contribute to their training or education.

Second Career may cover such things as tuition, books, transportation and basic living allowance. Additional support may be available to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities, dependent care, costs of living away from home and academic upgrading.

For general information about the Second Career initiative, visit the Ontario Second Career Government website.
