The Queen’s College Office Administrator Diploma Program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to take on organizational responsibilities and effectively manage the day-to-day operations of an office. Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers practical knowledge and essential soft skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and time management.
In addition, we offer an internship period towards the end of the program that allows students to apply their learnings and gain hands-on experience in a real-world office setting. Our experienced instructors provide personalized attention and guidance to ensure that students are well-prepared for a successful career as an office administrator.
The Queen’s College Office Administrator Diploma Program offers rich placement opportunities where our students can experience real-life responsibilities. The last four weeks of this program enable students to work in an office to gain work experience and put into practice the skills they learned in the curriculum. In the internship, they may perform some of the following activities:
- Assist in the preparation of department budgets
- Assist office staff in maintaining files and databases
- Reading, analyzing, and writing reports
- Serve as the go-to for office inquiries and conflicts
- Schedule meetings for executives and staff

Academic Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) OR
- Equivalent: Foreign credentials must be translated into English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (refer to Section I-4.4) OR
- Mature Student with a score of 11 or more on the Wonderlic SLE (or other MCU-approved tests – Note: CAT and CAST can no longer be used)
English as a Second Language
- IELTS – International English Language Testing Services – Minimum average score of 6.0 with no subject test score lower than 5.5. OR
- TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test (IBT) – over 80, with a minimum of 20 in each component.
