AI in Procurement & Vendor Management
What is it about?
This course investigates the manner in which Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining the procurement and vendor management processes in Canadian industries. As supply chains become more complex with increased demand variability, AI offers a strategic advantage when it comes to automating the sourcing process, managing contracts, supplier evaluation, and risk mitigation/elimination.
Students will analyze the existing practices adopted in Canadian procurement process within the private and the public sector pertaining to the use of AI tools, and, in particular, the Ontario supply chain modernization operations. Also, the course addresses the management of suppliers’ relationship, AI algorithm-based risk assessment, and the adaptability of AI to the current and existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
